“At last minute before checking-in, the hosts send you a message that you need to say to everyone that you are a friend of the host, not a tourist, that you cannot speak to anyone from the staff of the residence because what they are doing is illegal (renting short term), because they received many complaints from the neighbours etc.”
“There is a huge sign in the lobby made by the neighbours threatening tourists that they will go to jail and be fined for staying at this place and that the neighbours should report any suspicious activity to the legal administrator.”
