Multiple guests have encountered cockroaches in their rooms and reported mould problems with strong odors. These health hazards make this hotel unsuitable despite its luxury positioning.
๐ฉ Red Flags
โwe found a cockroach in one of the rooms while we were sleeping โ completely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 5-starโ
โI saw a cockroach in the Family room I booked more than room, all the rooms were good except the family roomโ
โThe rooms smell moldy, mold in the bathroom. Even after washing my clothes they are still smellyโ
โThe smell was a clearly a mold infection from the carpet or from the ventilation. I did complain about this smell and worst part of this is that the hotel staff thought that they could solve this problem with air freshenerโ
โBeen a big fan of the Lancaster for many years, and still am. Would note, it's starting to 'age' and the rooms may need some modernisation soonโ
โThe hotel is also already somewhat worn, you can see scratches, chipped corners, sliding doors that don't close completely etcโ
โAir conditioning makes multiple clicking noise. It can't be set on a proper temperature, it either becomes too cold or too hotโ
โAC either too hot or too cold. Very old run down roomsโ
โThe location became a real problem because of heavy traffic. If you need to commute by taxi โ especially towards Nawamin โ prepare for long ridesโ
โLocation - we found this was a bit far from any of the hotspots and taxi wait times therefore were quite longโ
